Values

(source Lori Zazpel and Steven Hayes) - choose a few of these.

You don’t have do write about all of them, just choose a couple per day that resonate with you, and if you can journal is a beautiful, peaceful natural place, your benefit will be definitely enhanced.

  1. What's one thing that brought you joy or meaning today?

  2. Can you think of a time, whe you felt fulfilled, and living in line with you deepest sense of purpose? Which if your values were you heeding at that time? How did they contribute to your sense of fulfillment?

  3. What feeds my soul, makes me feel alive?

  4. Think about a few significant experiences or events in your life. How did these experiences shape or challenge your beliefs and values?

  5. Consider one of your values and write for about ten minutes about it, taking into account the following questions:

    • What do I care about in this area?

    • What do I want to do in this area that reflects that caring?

    • When in my life has this value been important?

    • What have I seen in my life when others pursue this value, or not?

    • What might I do to manifest this value more in my life?

    • When have I violated this value and has that been costly?

  6. What motivates you to keep pushing forward during challenging times?

  7. Reflect on whether you have ever made choices in your life based on external expectations rather than your own values. How did that make you feel?

  8. Who do you truly admire? What is it about them that really resonates with you? How might you weaver their values into your own life?

  9. What impact do you want to have on the world or the lives of others?

  10. Write about your future self in the present tense, as in, “I am a teacher, I have two dogs, and I own a home full of thriving houseplants.”

    • Write with optimistism but also be realistic, without perfection.

    • What do you see around you?

    • Who is with you?

    • What are you doing? (Source: The Good Trade)

  11. Describe your ideal day from start to finish

  12. Take a moment to explore any conflicts or tensions you're currently experiencing in your life.

    • Which values feel compromised or neglected in these situations?

    • How can you realign your actions and choices with your core values to bring greater harmony and authenticity into your life?

  13. When did you last take a meaningful risk? Where were you? What were you doing?

  14. Imagine your life five years from now — the life you most want to be living.

    • What values are at the center of that vision?

    • How can you begin to live in alignment with those values today, creating that future in the present moment?
